In the latter part of 2020, God stirred a fire in the hearts of Pastors Vince and Dana to plant a church in the city of Asheville, NC. The ways and means of doing this were not immediately clear but the vision of a Spirit-filled, five fold, apostolic, multi-cultural church had always been a desire and dream of the Browns. 

    On February 20, 2022 that dream became a reality and the first meeting of The House of Emmaus took place with the Holy Spirit moving mightily. Pastors Vince and Dana were joined by Reverends Vince and Denise Schultz of Lasalle, IL for the Sunday afternoon church launch.   Asheville, NC is a special city in many ways, the greatest being it's significance in the spirit realm. 

The House of Emmaus was birthed to meet that special significance and to stand on the front lines to reclaim Asheville for Jesus. The House of Emmaus takes it's name from the passage of scripture found in Luke 24:13-25, where two men on their journey to the town of Emmaus did not recognize Jesus after His resurrection. However, after spending time with Him, the Holy Spirit brought understanding to them of who Jesus was.

    The House of Emmaus is a place where you will experience the Holy Spirit as well as encounter Jesus, fresh and new every time there is a gathering. Emmaus derives from the Hebrew meaning “Hot Spring”. In the Greek a spring of Emmaus is known as a spring of salvation. The House of Emmaus will serve as that hot, refreshing, soothing spring in the city of Asheville.     

The House of Emmaus believes that the five fold ministry as well as the Apostolic is alive and well in the church today. We believe in God the Father, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, all three individual yet united in the Holy Trinity. We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as well as the nine (9) gifts of the Spirit.    

Now is the time for the church to standup!  Now is the time for the church to reclaim the power and authority Jesus gave us when He entered hell and snatched the keys of death and hell from Satan!  Now is the time for the church to walk in the Spirit and operate in signs and wonders! The House of Emmaus invites you to join us and experience the moving of the Holy Spirit in Asheville!
